IN325 :: Softwares

For the RTSJ part of the IN325 module, we will use the JamaicaVM virtual machine developed by Aicas. You will find here instructions to install the needed softwares.

JamaicaVM Personal Edition

We will use the Personal Edition of JamaicaVM. Go to https://www.aicas.com/cms/en/jamaicavm-pe and follow instructions. You will normally obtain a license key by email.

The Personal Edition requires to send the license key "each time" you want to use a Jamaica tool (compiler, VM, etc.). To do so, first start the aicasLicenseProvider in a terminal:

aicasLicenseProvider

You can store your license key using the license provider, just check the right button in the GUI.

Jamaica Eclipse plugin installation

You can also install the Jamaica Eclipse plugin, just go to https://www.aicas.com/cms/en/eclipse-plugin and use http://aicas.com/download/eclipse-plugin as a new Eclipse update site to install the plugin. You will find more instructions in the JamaicaVM User Manual.
